Come join Rago Adventures for a dog sledding tour in Bodø/Fauske .

We can give you the opportunity to experience beautiful nature with our four-legged friends.

Day trips

Meeting point: Grønåsveien 40 8219 Fauske

Meeting time by appointment (11:30 or 14:00) 

 Length of route 4.5 km. 

At Rago Adventures, you get to experience everything dog sledding involves; you fetch the dogs, harness and unharness them, receive training in dog sledding and storytelling, drive the sled, and finally, feed the dogs. It's a complete wilderness experience with our fantastic dogs.

You should allow at least 2 hours so that you have time for some extra cuddling with the dogs. Along the sled tour, we gladly take one or more pit stops for a photoshoot. You'll receive the pictures afterward.

  

We can accommodate 1 or 2 in the sled, and there will be an opportunity to drive yourself along the way.

We also light a campfire, brew coffee, and provide a chance to warm up and use indoor toilet facilities.

Price: Adults NOK 1950. Children 6-16 years NOK 1250. 

Children under 6 years old are free when accompanied by an adult in the sled.

How to get to the meeting point?


Best travel time from Bodø:


Monday to Friday: Departure Bodø railway station at 10:12 a.m - Arrival Fauske railway station at 10:53 a.m

Saturday and Sunday: Departure Bodø railway station at 12:27 a.m - Arrival Fauske at 13:14 a.m

We'll pick you up at Fauske railway station and bring you to the meeting point.

You will be transported back to the train station after the sleigh ride.

Train tickets cost NOK 165 and can be bought on the train. 


FAQ

1.  Do I need any outdoor experience?

This tour is suitable for everyone. You don't need any specific skills, but normal fitness and mobility is an advantage.

Minimumage: Age limit 4 years accompanied by an adult. 

2. What do I need to bring?

We know from experience that it can get cold during the sled ride. Please bring plenty of winter clothes for your own use. Your own gear suitable for winter sutch as: 

  • Woolen underwear
  • Middle layer in fleece or wool
  • Thick jacket and trousers
  • Good footwear (warm hiking boots or winter boots).
  • Thick mittens/gloves
  • Woolen headgear and buff/scarf
  • A small daypack for your snack, camera and some extra clothing. 

3. Booking alone or as part of a group?

You are welcome to book alone, but we require a minimum of 2 people to complete the trip
